Check the accessibility controls
Increase the text size. Open Settings and try larger tiles, high contrast, a different voice, or a slower speech rate.
See how a family can personalize it
Open Setup. Review the profile and custom phrase controls. Changes are saved only in this browser.
Review the boundaries
AssistBernice is a free consumer communication aid. It does not replace an AAC assessment, medical care, or an emergency communication plan.

Questions to answer after the self-demo
- Could a person find and speak an urgent everyday need?
- Are the controls readable and large enough for the person you serve?
- Would custom phrases make the board more useful to that person?
- Does the family understand that data stays on this device?
- Do they have a backup communication method for emergencies?
